SHELF CARE - Silent Book Club (online)
How often do we give ourselves permission to relax with a good book?
At Silent Book Club there's no assigned reading or guided discussions. Just a community of people reading in companionable silence. All readers are welcome - ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books. Simply bring along whatever you are currently reading, some snacks and a beverage, and settle in for some cosy reading time with other book lovers.
How it works:
7pm - Log in via a zoom link that is sent out after sign-up.
We will have around 10-15 minutes at the start, where you are welcome to share what you are reading, or simply get yourself settled and comfy.
7:15 - 8:15pm - Silent reading hour (microphones will be muted during this time)
8:15 - 9pm - Optional social time, to share thoughts on your books (no spoilers please!) or continue reading quietly if you prefer.

Groups are free to attend, you can come as often as you want, and you can keep your camera on or off as you prefer.

Please note that Silent Book Clubs are community groups.
They are NOT mental health support groups, and I will not be acting in my capacity as a counsellor and psychotherapist.
My role in this group is to provide the space and manage timings, but otherwise I'll be reading too!
